As I write this I’m sat in a comfy bed in a hotel in Warwick, with my finance lecture notes neglected at my feet, ready to be picked up for the night. Today my family came down to Warwick the drop the third and final child of the family off at university, my ‘little’ brother is officially a fresher, and I’m an old third year who will be in an office this time next year… how depressing. University, I honestly believe, is one of the best times of your life; I can’t believe how fast its all going by.
Third year for me has officially started. Our lectures have had no lead up and no “welcome back”, just a quick, “so, this is what this year is about…” and a straight dive into work and hundreds of pages of readings. I met up with a friend after a class on Friday and walked in and out of the backstreets of our uni to find the best spot for photos. The black background definitely matched my outfit – monochrome. The only colour here is really the red on my nails.
I rarely ever wear shorts, but this pair from River Island seemed to be calling my name Friday morning when I threw them on. I was tempted to wear a pair of wedged heels with this outfit but thought they may, paired with these short shorts, be a bit unnecessary for one class at uni. What I do need are knee high boots, and ankle boots with a casual heel. I’m also on the search for a new, bossy winter coat.

And with that, I’ve actually got work to do. My biggest aim of this year is not to fall behind. Let’s hope I achieve this.
I’ll also be holding another giveaway within the next two or three weeks on this blog sponsored by the lovely BlankX team, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
