It’s been a while! Exams and all that – there’s only so much I can explain away my absence. I’m definitely going to try and blog as much as possible over the next month, but given revision and exams I’m very limited. But don’t worry, over the summer I will bombard you all with new posts (and a design shop that I’m opening up soon). Then I need to develop some type of ultra-productivity, so that I can spend my evenings and weekends blogging once I start in a full time job…

I used to think I was a major Beyonce fan, but then I realised this year that I was doing a pretty terrible job at my ‘fan-girling’. I was late to watch the Formation video (didn’t even know it was dropping before it did), and I’ve only watched one ‘Lemonade’ video. I know, it’s shameful. Although I’m not as dedicated as I thought I was, I was dedicated enough to hop on the Ivy Park bandwagon as soon as the new line dropped. By the time I got to the Topshop website, most of the Ivy Park items I wanted had already sold out, but I managed to bag this ASAP, and of course wore it for the first OOTD shoot I’ve had in a long time.

When House of Fraser asked me if I’d want to style a bag from their website, I decided to try something a little different, and I got myself a backpack. I’ve honestly wanted to buy a backpack for years upon years now, but for some reason I’ve had the impression that it wouldn’t ‘suit my style’. But naturally, as you get older, you start to care about those kinds of frivolous worries a lot less, and I decided that if I wanted a backpack, I might as well just go ahead and get one. This Ollie & Nic backpack is only £39, and I’ve been wearing it out and about almost every day – it’s nice a compact if you only need to hold a few major things for the day, which is my situation a lot of the time, unless I’m in uni and need 100 books and a laptop.

Check out HoF’s handbags, whatever your price range or whatever your shape preference (if you’re looking for a backpack like me), they’ve got such a huge range on offer.

Have you checked out Beyonce’s new Ivy Park range?

  1. I love your backpack! I really want one now, but I have no idea what I’d use it for. My bags always end up breaking from the amount of stuff I take to work, and I definitely wouldn’t want to risk that with a bag so beautiful.

I’ve not checked out Beyonce’s range, but I think I will now. I really want her Lemonade album, however. A few of the songs are really different to her usual stuff, and it’s so brilliant.

  2. I haven’t checked out the range yet but it looks super good, love your top too! Also, backpacks are so essential these days, nobody wants to hold anything!
