My Summer Abroad

There’s one thing that absolutely everyone has told me to do before I start a full-time job – and that is to travel. Experience different countries, experience different continents, and experience life just a little bit more before you’re in the office for work. So after my internship last summer, I saved up some money, and as soon as my exam timetable dropped – I booked three holidays over the months of June and July. First stop – Lagos, Algarve, Portugal.

I’ll be writing up a full post all about Portugal when I’m back in London (currently sat chilling in the most amazing villa booked via Air Bnb), but what I can say for now is that is has been one of the best countries I’ve visited – and I’ve visited a few countries. Portugal bangs not only because of the food – but the people – they really are truly friendly. I’m always a bit weary about what types of people I’ll be met with abroad (more on this in a vlog I’m filming of Portugal, yes – this is happening), but Portugal has smashed all of my expectations.

I borrowed my boyfriend’s hat for this outfit as I just felt it fit so. damn. perfectly with my outfit. I guess I was extra-repping him because I also chose to wear my shirt with his name on it. My mini backpack from House of Fraser has come in extra handy this holiday for carrying around all my little bits in the most compact way. I can definitely feel myself getting a lot of use out of it this summer.
