Basic Image Pixelling

In this tutorial I will take you on a step by step guide to pixel simple images like web icons. Pixeling is really very simple, anything can be pixels with a good imagination.

First create a new image on PSP sized 23 x 20. Get the pen tool at a size of 1, opacity of 100 and a colour of #FF7D13 and sketch your image while being zoomed in. All you really do is add different legnth lines until it resembles the shape you like. You can see my sketch zoomed in to the right.

It really just takes patience, your image will come together in the end. Now it's time for shading. Using the colour #FFB883 and your pen tool at the same size, draw a line on the inside of your star, however, the lines on the left will be 1px thicker. Look to the left for an example.

Now using the colour #FFDEC5, go in the inside of the star.

Now, to finish, use the colour #FF9649, make an outline on the left. That's basically it, and that's basically the secrets of pixeling, drawing and shading. Practice makes perfect, I promise you :).
