Site History
What came before Skylish? It all started in 2005; my cousin Maryann introduced me to Freewebs. Excited by the very fact of having my own Freewebs site I maintained a personal non-HTML site for many months. When my friend discovered the ever popular Piczo, I felt it would be a great site to begin creating a Doll site. I knew all about Doll sites as at the time, putting dolls on your website as well and glitters and random graphics was cool. My first Doll site ever was named "Ma Ghetto Graphics", I was nine - keep that in mind.
I worked hard on this site for a couple of hours, before I decided to call it a quits. As a year passed by and the beginning of 2006 hit upon the world, I was bursting with new knowledge and ready to try a Dolls site again. Dubbing myself as "Sweets", I came up with "Lovable Sweetheart" which closed only three days later due to me being bored and inexperienced. Soon, my old friend "Missy" who I met online agreed to make another site with me which marks the birth of "Dollie Devine" on Freewebs.
After returning from a long week of school I was disappointed to find that Missy had closed and moved onto I-Frames. Jealous of her improvement, I forced myself to create a full HTML Freewebs site; "Giggle Palace". This site seemed fun at the time, but when I decided to take a long, hard look at my site; I closed immediately and moved again.
"Milkshake Swirls" was a site I owned for a while with two great co-owners. Aisha, my previous host; offered to host me in late 2006. This site was up for a long period of time and I was very pleased with it. I was still ambitious; and one day I asked Aisha for a domain. She agreed to get one. However, at the time I knew I didn't want "Milkshake Swirls" as a Domain name and decided to move to DollieKizz (hosted). To my disappointment, Aisha had been hosting illegally and was being forced to move out in three days. Not knowing who would host me - I frantically searched around - Sophie; my best friend online at the time, stepped in and offered to host me. We both began to move in together.
DollieKizz (re-hosted) ~ for a year or so; I went without moving. I was comfortable and happy with the progress on Dollie Kizz. However, whilst on my Summer 07' Revamp, Sophie informed me that she will be leaving webdesign; which left me searching around again for a host. Tab came to my rescue soon enough and offered me one of the many domains she had bought but never used.
In March of 2009, Dollie Kizz stopped working. Because I didn't keep in contact with my host, I realised it was the end - but I jumped at the chance at making a new site which was hosted by Maryann and named Fulfilled. My Dad offered to buy me a domain the following month =D! Thus - Skylish. April 19, 2009.
