Shooting in Spitalfields

Let me tell you, when you’re working 12+ hours a day, the weekends and your sleep are the most amazing and also the most precious parts of your life. I wanted to get this outfit post up yesterday (or even Thursday, as my schedule dictates…) but I was just so knocked out after work that it wasn’t possible…

As you may or may not know – I’ve been trying to switch up my wardrobe! A little less of the crop tops, skater skirts, vans and generally quite ‘cute’ uni style; and a little more sleek, tailored and figure hugging. Pretty Little Thing (and Zara) have been my go-to’s for doing this, and this copper coloured dress is one of my favourite recent purchases (and also a bit Kylie Jenner-esque, who’s style I really like)

I paired up the dress with some very comfortable heeled ankle boots from JDW fashion, that you can see a bit closer over in this post that I did in collaboration with the brand. I finished it off the outfit with my New Look leather jacket (that I’ve had for years and am looking to upgrade!). Outfits like this are definitely more of the direction I’m aiming to take my wardrobe in now that I am no longer a poor student, and also starting to do that adult-ing thing. I’m excited to develop my wardrobe as time goes on and of course, document it all here as I do. It’s just about finding someone to drag along to help take outfit photos for me on the weekend! In any case, watch this space.

Who do admire when it comes to style?

  1. Love This look! It really does suit you especially with the addition of the leather jacket for a little edge and sass. I admire a lot of different people when it comes to style; Nicole Richie, Olivia Palermo, karrueche Tran and Monikh Dale. They’re all very different but what I love about all of them is that they have their own unique styles and are not clones of anyone else. This is what I aim to be; individual and unique! Xx
