Long time no outfit post! Before we get into the blog, I wanted to quickly share an exciting event coming up in two weeks which I think could be of interest to a lot of you. Sharmmaine from Purpose Meets Class will be holding the ‘PMC Luncheon’ of April 29th in Seven Sisters. The event is all about celebrating women – it’ll include networking, learning all things branding as creatives and even some workshops for all the behind the scenes bits that are rarely spoken about. A lot of inspiring ladies will be speaking about growing your social media accounts, to managing your YouTube accounts, tech for your blog and more. I will be speaking in a short segment titled ‘Show Me The Money’, which is going to be all about myself (my blog, my full-time job), making money form blogging, managing your personal finances and a few little nuggets on how you can start looking at easy ways to make more money out of the money you already have. You can grab your tickets over a this link!

The outfit above is almost a head to toe utilisation of a lot of the latest trends. For example, we’ve got the black bomber (a staple in my wardrobe for over a year now) – bomber jackets have become very popular over the last couple of years and are an item I expect to still be very much utilised by bloggers (and non-bloggers) alike as the weather starts to pick up and we can put away our big winter coats. You’ve also got the playsuit with the classic neck choker – choker necklaces became a huge trend over summer last year and very quickly went from a necklace trend, to a trend seen on most outfits you find across TopShop, Zara, etc… (you know the gist). I absolutely fell in love with this trend last year – featuring quite a few pieces in this collaboration with Happiness Boutique last year, and I also own quite a number of outfits that have the choker neckline. Finally, the sandal heels – these were definitely more of a trend a few more years ago (I remember there was a summer Kim Kardashian was wearing these on repeat). Although they aren’t as trendy as they were back then I still love these and see these worn a lot nonetheless.

As we come into the summer, a trend I’m looking into more is actually taking on vintage pieces. In fact, I actually want to take a trip to Berlin this year – not only to explore and soak up the culture – but also because I’ve heard they have some of the best vintage shops out there. Closer to home, Rokit is one of the UK’s leading vintage stores – and together I’ve put together a wishlist of some of my favourite dress picks from them that I think would be perfect for the summer weather.
