London Fashion Week has kicked off, and living in central London has dropped me right in the middle of all the activity. Suddenly it’s not out of the ordinary to see paparazzi floating around, VIP fashion week cars lined up down the road, and even a 20m stretch of road closed off for the most exclusive shows.
Teresita Orillac debuted her SS16 collection this Saturday at London Fashion Week and the line was impressive enough to be covered by both Glamour and Vogue…
Terista Orillac is a Panama based designer that is truly up and coming. Her new line “Into The Jungle” is described on her website as a luxury women’s ready-to-wear cruise collection, and I was lucky to have the chance to preview it this weekend at Fashion Scout!
The exotic line drew clear inspiration from Orillac’s home, with no shortage of soft and vibrant colours, textures and patterns on the runway. A very feminine collection, a lot of the pieces were wearable items I could imagine myself wearing in the summer, with outfits ranging from elegant evening looks (with heels), and more casual everyday looks (with the addition of trainers). I was definitely impressed with the collection – even my boyfriend, who came along with me intrigued to see what all the LFW hype was about, walked away with a smile.
